Laser Skin Spot Treatment

Multiple facial seborrheic keratoses treated with laser.
Laser treatment of skin spots deserves the following considerations according to their presentation:
- General increase in pigment
- Lentigines and guttate hypomelanosis
- Poikiloderma
- Ephelides (Freckles)
In general, skin aging coexists with the accumulation of sun damage.
The laser is indicated to treat lesions that are complex for older therapies, such as smaller circumscribed or larger ones. Lentigines, pigmented keratoses, and guttate hypomelanosis accumulate throughout life.

Immediate effect of the Erbium-YAG laser vaporizing Guttate hypomelanosis and, as a result a year later, complete repigmentation of the treated area is obtained, with a small untreated area persisting. Proof of the real effect of the treatment.

Comparative image in two panels of an adult’s face, viewed from the front. In the photograph on the left, more spots, irregular texture, and visible redness are observed in the nose, cheek, and chin area. In the photograph on the right, taken after treatment, the skin appears more uniform, with less contrast in the spots and a more homogeneous appearance.
Pigmented lesions can be more general or specific, giving a dark tone to the skin: Laser rejuvenation.
