In this case the Fraxel® laser was used for old scar remodeling, showing that the surface became more homogeneous and the pigment decreased between sessions.
The effect seems to depend on the ability of this type of laser to vaporize tissue without causing wounds or scabs and as a single therapy it is quite safe.
