Medical Laser and Electric Hair Removal in Colombia

Unilaser Médica began in 1996 to offer hair removal services using light sources. Since then, we have incorporated a variety of lasers, adapting to the technological improvements of the equipment available in Colombia.

Our studies, indexed in the Repository of the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia, provide our experience and knowledge in this field for more than 30 years thanks to the collaboration of aesthetic medicine residents, doctors Julian Alvarez, Sergio Sanchez, Liliana Ballesteros and Sara Gutiérrez.

Additionally, we have expanded our services to include electroepilation (electrolysis), allowing the removal of hairs inaccessible to the laser.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation and Tightening

Since 2000, we have used lasers to rejuvenate the skin. In this regard, a review of cases was also presented at the ASLMS congress about the manual fractional technique with CO2 laser.

We have integrated highly effective procedures such as the application of botulinum toxin (Botox), hyaluronic acid and, more recently, topical and post-laser injected biostimulators. Facial harmonization

Removal of Skin Lesions

Since 1991 we have used the CO2 laser.

Several evaluations have been carried out in collaboration with Dr. Silvia Gonzalez Tomaskovich and Dr. Tatiana Leal.

Tattoo Removal

Tattoo removal using switched lasers began in 1998. In this regard, we carried out a study in collaboration with Dr. Sylvia Garcia, resident of aesthetic medicine at the Universidad del Rosario.

Vascular Injury Treatment

We began treating vascular lesions with laser in Colombia in 1996. We have updated our equipment for the treatment of vascular lesions, incorporating advanced blue light technology (Milesman® Blauman) and a Primelase® vascular piece. In addition, we have the Viridex® radio ultrafrequency equipment, a significant addition to laser resistant glasses. Laser treatment of vascular skin lesions

Scar Modulation

Training and Future

We collaborate with the training of dermatology and plastic surgery residents, who help us evaluate cases and collect data for studies. Residents are essential to our continued growth and development.
